Overview
Acceptable Use Policy
What the Service may and may not be used for, so that every classroom on it stays safe and fair.
1. Who this applies to
This policy applies to every School and every Authorised User of the Service, including principals, teachers and students. It forms part of our Terms of Service.
2. You must not
Security and the platform
- Attempt to escape, disable or interfere with the isolated environment in which code runs, or use it to reach other networks or systems.
- Run code designed to mine cryptocurrency, send spam, attack other systems, or consume resources beyond what an exercise needs.
- Probe, scan or test the Service for vulnerabilities, or load-test it, without our written permission.
- Access, or try to access, another school's data, another user's account, or any part of the Service you have not been given access to.
- Copy, scrape, reverse engineer or resell the Service, or build a competing product from it.
- Work around plan limits, feature restrictions, rate limits or device binding.
Assessments and integrity
- Share an account, sit an examination or assignment for someone else, or let someone else sit one for you.
- Use tools, scripts or other people to obtain answers during a supervised examination or assignment where the teacher has not allowed it.
- Distribute examination questions, test cases or answers outside the class they were set for.
Content and people
- Upload or write anything unlawful, abusive, hateful, sexually explicit or harmful to children.
- Harass, bully or impersonate any person.
- Upload personal data about anyone that the School has no lawful basis to share, or more personal data than the purpose needs.
- Upload material that infringes someone else's copyright or other rights.
3. What happens if this policy is broken
We may remove content, limit features or suspend an account where that is necessary to protect students, other schools or the Service. Where a student is involved we will normally tell the School and let it decide how to respond, because the School is responsible for its students. For serious or repeated breaches we may terminate the School's access under our Terms of Service.
4. Reporting a security issue
If you believe you have found a security vulnerability, please write to [email protected] with the details and steps to reproduce it. Please do not access data that is not yours, and give us reasonable time to fix the issue before telling anyone else. We will not take action against anyone who reports an issue in good faith and in line with this section.
